The Gaza International Women's Film Festival announced its special script competition, which will be accepting scripts from June 1 to August 31, 2025. The script competition requires that the script directly or indirectly addresses the Palestinian cause. The script competition is divided into two categories: feature-length and short. The festival administration has decided to name the script award after a Palestinian novelist whose novels have served the Palestinian cause. The name of the novelist whose name the competition will bear will be announced soon. We hope that the competition will encourage screenwriters from within and outside the country to write scripts that serve the Palestinian cause, especially women in light of the genocide.
Requirements for the special script award:
1. The script must address the Palestinian cause, either directly or indirectly.
2. The script must be for a feature-length or short film.
3. A synopsis, dramatic treatment, and biographical details must be submitted alongside the feature-length script.
4. The documentary script must have a complete concept and a documentary text, whether short or long.
5. Anyone who meets the above requirements is eligible to apply, regardless of nationality or country of residence.
