The Gaza International Women’s Film Festival, represented by its founder and president, Dr. Ezzedeen Shallah, has announced the members of the Screenplay Jury for the festival’s inaugural edition.
The jury will be chaired by acclaimed Palestinian filmmaker and screenwriter Najwa Najjar and includes distinguished members from across the Arab film industry:
- Syrian actor Taysir Idris
- Egyptian screenwriter Zeinab Aziz
- Palestinian-Jordanian screenwriter Iman Saeed
- Palestinian screenwriter and filmmaker Khaled Khamash
The jury has officially begun reviewing submissions for the festival’s screenplay competition. The competition includes two categories: Best Feature Screenplay and Best Short Screenplay. Winning screenplays will be announced during the opening ceremony of the festival, scheduled to take place from October 26 to October 31, 2025.
